Traits are categorized as:

  • Natural Traits
  • Event Traits

Traits are how a character can:

  • Explain an inherent ability, physical feature, or mental feature
  • Undergo a sudden physical or mental change

Natural Traits

Name Description Notes
Strong Ancestors Add +2 to your Skill Roll when exerting your strength to achieve your goal.
Brawny Ancestors Add +2 to your Skill Roll when enduring something physically strenuous.
Nimble Ancestors Add +2 to your Skill Roll when attempting to do something quickly or with fancy footwork.
Clever Ancestors Add +2 to your Skill Roll when trying to figure out a puzzle or learn something new.
Wise Ancestors Add +2 to your Skill Roll when deciding on the best course of action.
Natural Weapon You have claws, long teeth, spikes, or another physical feature that can be used as an improvised weapon. Unarmed attacks deal 1d4 damage.
Protective Exterior You have scales, tough skin, carapace, or a similar defensive layer. Reduce any physical damage taken by 1 point.
Winged Ancestors You have wings. You gain the ability to fly. Your wings must remain uncovered to enable flight. Decrease the damage reduction effect from armor by 1 point.
Underground Ancestors You gain the ability to see normally in semi-darkness.
Keen Perception You have exceptional eyesight and hearing. You gain the Novice rank in Perception.
Skilled Climber You are a natural climber. You gain the Novice rank in Climbing.
Born Swimmer You are a natural swimmer. You gain the Novice rank in Swimming.
Natural Skill Affinity Gain the Novice rank in any Physical skill.
